What an FSE Ambassador Is:

FSE Ambassadors serve as a vital connection between school boards and the communities they represent. They represent their local communities through attending meetings, gathering feedback, and helping ensure school policies reflect the needs and priorities of families.

Why the Role of Ambassador is Important:

Community Ambassadors are trusted local messengers who help their neighbors understand how school boards work and why they matter. Through outreach, listening, and consistent communication, ambassadors help build stronger bridges between families and the public education decisions that shape students’ lives.

Additionally, ambassadors help translate complex policies into accessible information and create space for community voices to be heard, ambassadors help ensure that public education decisions are more transparent, equitable, and responsive to the needs of those most affected. Their work strengthens civic engagement, fosters trust in public institutions, and supports better outcomes for students across Delaware.

Key Responsibilities of an FSE Ambassador:

1. Educate & Inform: Help community members understand what school boards do, why they matter, and how decisions affect students and families.

 2. Promote Engagement: Encourage families to attend board meetings, speak during public comment, and contact board members about issues that matter to them.
