2024 School Board Mini-Grant Application

FSE is excited to announce an innovative new mini grants initiative. FSE’s mini grants program is designed to support Delaware school boards in their efforts to enhance governance, strengthen community ties, and tackle local educational challenges. Mini grants provide school board members with the resources needed to create innovative solutions, engage in professional development, and strengthen their leadership capacities.

  • Project: Promoting Transparency and Accountability: Implement a transparent reporting system to keep the community informed about board decisions and district progress

    - Track the number of reports made available to the public on board decisions and district progress.

    - Measure the percentage of community members accessing the published reports.

  • Project: Enhancing Parent and Community Involvement: Launch initiatives to increase parent and community participation in school board meetings and activities.

    - Measure the increase in parent and community attendance at school board meetings.

    - Track the number of initiatives or events held to involve parents and the community in board activities.

  • Project: Building Bridges: Tackling Student Absenteeism Through Community Engagement and Policy Innovation

    - Measure the percentage decrease in student absenteeism over a specified period.

    - Track the number of parents and students participating in focus groups, surveys, or other engagement activities related to the project.
