2027 Delaware Regional Spelling Bee
One Stage, Endless Possibilities
The Delaware Spelling Bee, coordinated by First State Educate, gives students the opportunity to challenge themselves, build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and compete with peers from across the state.
Participation in the Scripps National Spelling Bee program helps students develop academic skills that last far beyond competition day, including vocabulary development, reading comprehension, critical thinking, and public speaking.
Schools across Delaware are invited to enroll now for the 2026-27 school year and give their students the opportunity to participate in the nation's largest and longest-running educational competition.

How the Program Works
School Bee
Each enrolled school conducts its own spelling bee and identifies a champion.
Delaware State Bee
School champions advance to compete with students from across Delaware.
National Competition
Eligible state champions earn the opportunity to represent Delaware in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
